The Inner Artist : Official Press Release



MIAMI, FL - February 5, 2010: A series of interactive art shows, “The Inner Artist 2” tantalizes imaginations giving art goers the chance to paint the actual creations featured artists have on display. This eye opening activity portrays the visions of inspired fans showing the various pieces from their point of view, while being surrounded by the artist themselves for encouragement. “The Inner Artist 2” will feature artists; Pablo Ricatti, Alex “AB” Barrera and SURGE. Join these ink inspired artist as they present their love to the world inviting individuals everywhere to be apart of the show. Painting dreams on paper allows enthused fans a chance to express themselves through other talented artists.


Controversial artist Alex “AB” Barrera is determined to push boundaries, with his notoriously attractive pieces. Combining sexuality and grit, AB’s experimental passion for what he does often get’s a rise out of shocked and intrigued fans. AB's artistic style is always evolving, from illustration to photography; he never sticks to one technique or style. From picture perfect portraits to numerous nude innuendos; AB’s bold designs pop buttons and raise eyebrows upon individuals everywhere.

Taught to draw by both parents whom had distinct artistic ability; featured artist Pablo Carlos Ricatti, became intrigued in art at a young age. Receiving a degree in Mechanical Engineering form Georgia Tech gave Ricatti the ability to view art from several different ways. Opening his mind to run a rampage upon blank canvases, he had the edge needed to open hearts and motivate minds. Former senior designer for Miami’s Cre8tiv Juice Group, Ricatti is now an independent designer working under Ricatti Designs; a company he established in 2004.

Motivated by his son Brooklyn, SURGE illuminates every piece with originality and character. His captivating artistry absorbs the streets of Miami with his bold creativity and intense passion for art and music. His experience as a Father has given Surge the freedom to describe his son’s carefree and joyful attitude, through art. A recurring cartoonist for the Miami New Times, Surge’s artwork has been featured on the cover of Sun-Sentinel’s City Link as well as published in a variety of publications world wide. His fearless mindset allows his infatuation for design run wild upon his ingenious creations. Sketching the world as if it was his canvas, Surge’s brash and street inspired artwork continues to leave its mark one stroke at a time.
